In his 20 years at Banning USD, he has taught at various campuses and now calls Central ES home. In his free time, Mr. Estrella loves to work in his garden tending to his roses and cherry trees. His favorite pastimes are to enjoy his morning coffee in his backyard, relax, watch and listen to the waves on the beach with a good book whenever he and his family are on vacation. At the Board Meeting this week we had the Cadet Corps lead us through the Pledge of Allegiance. We also heard updates from Rose Yang, ASB President, Nicolet MS, Daniel Martinez Jr., Coombs Alternative Education, and Chloe Dabucon, ASB President, Banning HS. Additionally our Student Board Representative, Ahmad Saber presented updates to the community. Wonderful job students! #BanningUSD

Just a friendly reminder: November 13 - 17, 2023, is Parent-Teacher Conference Week! Students will be released daily at 1:45 PM! Rock Awards are also this week by invitation only from your child's teacher. Turkey Trot will be on Thursday. Friday is the last day of school before Thanksgiving Break! Have a Great Week!


It is that time of year when we will race to the finish line! During PE classes, Mr. Marin will conduct a race and the top two boy runners and the top two girl runners from every class will run in the Turkey Trot. The winners from every class will run against all the other classes on their grade level at the turkey trot. At the turkey trot a 1st, 2nd and 3rd place boy and girl on every grade level will recieve a prize. The whole school will attend the Turkey Trot to cheer on their classmates! Permission slips will go home next week.Teachers will let parents know if their child is a runner. Details on attached flyer!


Meet Dr. Veronica Pendleton, Director of Educational Services. English is her second language, and she was a long-term English learner throughout school. She was also a teen parent at the age of 16 and still graduated high school. Dr. Pendleton is the proud mother of 5 adult children and grandmother to seven amazing children. She has been married for 20 years and lives on a vineyard with a pack of local coyotes. She LOVES to spend time with the people that she loves, they energize her and fill her with joy. Dr. Pendleton has been an educator for 26 years. Dr. Pendleton says she is incredibly passionate about working and serving in the Banning USD because it is a community with a rich and profound history. The residents, dedicated employees, and students all share a unique bond that spans generations of families within this close-knit community. Their shared commitment to providing children with a high-quality education is truly inspiring. #BanningUSD

Art with State Park Interpreter Nicholas Garduno on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 from 3:00 PM - 4:00 PM in the Children's Room: Banning Library District

Attendees will be able to explore some of the critters that call Mt. San Jacinto State Wilderness 'home' and learn about the adaptations from claws, to paws, to camouflage that make them excellent at survival in their environment.
Everyone is invited afterwards to paint or draw their favorite critter.
