Dear Banning Parents and Guardians,
We are happy to report that power is being restored districtwide. Banning High School, Coombs, Hemmerling, and the Transportation Department have their power restored with no internet or phones at this time. We anticipate that all school sites and district offices should have their power restored shortly. There may be further delays to reboot network systems.
Thank you for your patience.

Dear Banning Parents and Guardians,
We are aware of a current power outage that is affecting all of our campuses and district offices with the exception of Cabazon Elementary School. We are working closely with the city to monitor when it will be restored. At this time, we will continue with the full school day as scheduled.
Please keep in mind our phones and computers are down, so you will not be able to contact the school or staff. We will provide you with an update once power is restored.
Thank you!

Good morning!
Next week we will have fun Christmas Spirit days! Please see attached.

Meet Marcus McInerney, Security Officer II at Banning High School. Marcus shared the following: A few of my hobbies include writing, which I indulge in by writing fan fiction on forum sites i.e. Across the Stars (Star Wars) and Forgotten Realms (D&D), as well as Reading, from the lengthy Star Wars library (Canon and Legends/EU) to the Legend of Drizzt Saga and of course the Black Library (Warhammer 40K). I have to mention my love for Audiobooks/Podcasts too! Above all others I have a love for Theatre, and have been in over 20+ productions including Musicals, Plays, and Dance Recitals!
I love working here because the Staff are just plain awesome, making my work days much less stressful than they might otherwise be, and because the students and community of Banning are truly amazing. The sports teams the High Schools produces are all warriors, the Clubs are always engaging, and their Theatre department is exceptional, no bias included! This is the Way! Most importantly I know that we Security are appreciated and I know you’ll understand what I mean when I say you won’t find that everywhere.

The Banning HS Student-Athlete of the Week is Caxery Mendoza. She plays soccer, and Coach Adrian says, "Caxery has been instrumental on the field and a force to be reckoned with. Her ability to find the back of the net these past two games has been astounding. She currently has nine goals and one assist with back-to-back hat-tricks so far. A task that hasn't been done in girls' soccer history." Well done Caxery! #BanningUSD

The Student Services Department hosted a special field trip for our students called Polar Express! Students were able to participate in fun crafts, make holiday themed treats, get a toy and meet Santa! The energy in the room was incredible! Well done, students & staff! Thank you to Unplug and Play for the toy donations in collaboration with Good 360, RCOE, and Santa Claus Inc. 💚🎉 #BanningUSD
